Sai Workwear is the industrial protective-wear company of Sai Group, manufacturing flame-resistant, arc-rated and high-visibility garments to internationally recognised test standards from its production base in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. The company supplies personal protective equipment to the Oil & Gas, Electrical Utilities, Construction, and broader Industrial & Manufacturing sectors.
Sai Group's promoters bring more than three decades of combined experience in textile and industrial manufacturing, with an engineering background and an operating history in the Tiruppur textile cluster, one of India's principal garment manufacturing centres. SIMHA is Sai Workwear's inherently flame-resistant (IFR) fabric platform, built at 240 GSM with integrated anti-odour technology. As an inherently flame-resistant fibre — rather than a fabric treated with a surface FR coating — it offers an alternative to imported aramid solutions such as Nomex, with the flame resistance engineered into the fibre itself rather than applied afterward.
This is the same fabric platform behind the certifications listed above, extended with dedicated hygiene and performance testing.

NordShield® BioShield — antimicrobial hygiene technology
For workwear where odour and microbial control matter more than fire risk, Sai Workwear also manufactures using NordShield® bio-based antimicrobial technology. The finish is derived from wood-extractive, plant-based components rather than heavy metals or conventional biocides, forming a molecular-thin protective layer on the fibre that reduces microbial growth and neutralises odour, without altering the fabric's original look, feel or performance.
NordShield is a distinct, non-FR technology from Sai Workwear's flame-resistant fabric tiers above — suited to general workwear and uniform programmes where all-day freshness and hygiene are the priority.

Current manufacturing base
Sai Workwear's active production operations are based in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, a manufacturing cluster with established access to skilled textile labour, ancillary trims and accessories suppliers, and export logistics infrastructure. Quality control follows fabric-lot traceability, inline inspection, and final AQL sign-off prior to dispatch. Sai Workwear draws on Sai Group's shared Tiruppur manufacturing infrastructure, which operates over 450 machines across the group's companies.

An engineering graduate with an entrepreneurial background dating to 1991, Jayakumar Venugopal has more than three decades of experience across manufacturing, technology and industrial enterprise. He holds directorships and partnerships across the Sai Group of companies, with direct exposure to the Tiruppur textile and industrial manufacturing ecosystem.
An engineering graduate active in business and industrial activities since 1991, Sureshmurugan brings more than 15 years of private-sector employment experience in operations and business administration, followed by his own entrepreneurial ventures based in Tiruppur, one of India's principal textile and garment manufacturing centres.
Active in the textile and readymade garment industry since 2009 and based in Tiruppur, J. D. Biswal brings more than 15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, production management and customer servicing, including work with established multi-brand sportswear businesses.
